Community chorus rehearsals start Monday
The Jamestown Community Chorus will begin rehearsals for its 60th anniversary concert on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at Central Baptist Church.
The chorus will celebrate six decades of song at a special concert set for Saturday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Jamestown Community Center. This event will be as much a theatrical production as a concert. Music Director B. J. Whitehouse is planning a multimedia musical/historical retrospective on a grand scale.
Additional singers of all ages and all voice ranges are invited to join the chorus. There are no auditions required.
Those with a flair for costuming, lighting, sound engineering and more are also invited to join the crew. An outline of the event will be presented at Monday’s rehearsal.
