Library book group meets this week
The book discussion groups at the Jamestown library will discuss “My Stroke of Insight” by Jill Bolte Taylor this Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m.
In 1996, 37-year-old neuroanatomist Taylor experienced a massive stroke that erased her abilities to walk, talk, do mathematics, read or remember details. This book chronicles her remarkable story of recovery.
On Oct. 19 and 20, the groups will discuss “A History of Love” by Nicole Krauss.
The book discussions are free and open to the public. For more information, or to reserve a copy of the book through the Ocean State Library system, call 423-7280.
