8 p.m., Aug. 31, Rescue 1, Car 2 and Engines 1 and 3 were dispatched to Route 138 westbound for an auto accident call. The call was cancelled en route.

11:40 p.m., Aug. 31, Marine 1, Rescue 1, Car 2 and Engine 3 went to North Main Road to search for a person in the water.

6:51 a.m., Sept. 2, Rescue 1 was sent to Grinnell Street to assist JEMS. The call was cancelled en route.

8:23 a.m., Sept. 2, Car 1, Ladder 1, Car 3 and Engine 3 were dispatched to Newport Street for a malfunctioning alarm.

2:20 p.m., Sept. 2, Car 3 went to Cedar Lane for a smoke scare.

7 p.m., Sept. 3, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Engines 1, 2 and 3 turned out at the fire station for a drill.

9:30 a.m., Sept. 6, Car 1, Car 3 and Engines 1, 2 and 3 were sent to Coronado Street for a LPG gas leak.

7:25 p.m., Sept. 6, Ladder 1, Cars 2 and 3, and Engines 1, 2 and 3 went to Norman Road for a smoke odor call.

This week, JEMS transported eight patients to Newport Hospital and one patient to South County Hospital. Two calls were for lift assists. Trauma calls included treating lacerations, dislocations and related injuries from falls, bicycle and post-vehicular accidents. Medical calls included treating diffi culty breathing, altered level of consciousness and post-procedure complications.
