Flyover today to honor Air Force

Go outside just before noon today and watch the skies over the east passage of Narragansett Bay.

U.S. Air Force students and faculty of the Naval War College will remember the 62nd anniversary of the Air Force with an F-16 flyover from the Vermont Air National Guard shortly after noon today – Thursday, Sept. 17.

The flyover will take place over Narragansett Bay, if weather permits, as part of a commemoration of the founding of the Air Force as an independent service and to honor 652,763 active duty military, National Guard, Reserve and civilian airmen currently serving in locations around the globe.

The flyover will be visible from points in Jamestown.
