Thanks to RIRRC for its support
The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation has in the past been a very good partner with Jamestown’s recycling efforts. Jamestown, in the last three years, has received over $40,000 in profit sharing with the RIRRC from the sale of commodities such as paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastics. In addition, the town, in the last several years, has received grant money to buy roll-off containers to be used at the transfer station, composting bags and composting bins, as well as a class on how to effectively use the bins and compost materials.
Last year, all the residents received a Jamestown recycling calendar that was paid for by the RIRRC, which was produced by the Jamestown Press and the Jamestown Planning Department. All the excellent pictures used in the calendar were donated by the residents of Jamestown.
