Trattoria Simpatico hosts champagne reception to honor local chef
Chef Kevin Gaudreau, former executive chef at Trattoria Simpatico in Jamestown, is being honored by March of Dimes Rhode Island as its 2009 Signature Chef.
To recognize this achievement, Phyllis Bedard, owner of Trattoria Simpatico, will host a champagne reception at the restaurant on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
A limited number of tickets are available at $60 per person at Trattoria Simpatico.
Trattoria Simpatico Executive Chef Chris Carruba, one of the many fine chefs mentored by Gaudreau, will personally prepare hors d’oeuvres.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the March of Dimes mission of ensuring that all babies are given the healthiest possible start in life.
On Sept. 23, Newport’s Castle Hill Inn & Resort will play host to the Signature Chefs Auction, where leading chefs, including Chef Carruba, will pay tribute to Chef Kevin M. Gaudreau. These culinary masters will prepare samplings of their signature dishes for guests to help raise funds to benefi t the March of Dimes.
Trattoria Simpatico is one of the sponsors of the event.
Proceeds from the Signature Chefs Auction will help support the March of Dimes mission against premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
