Carin Beth Lightbown of North Kingstown, daughter of Marty and Rosemary Lightbown of Snug Harbor, and Daniel Cook, son

of Peter and Patricia Cook of Jamestown, have announced their engagement. They will be married on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010.

The future bride is a graduate of Lincoln High School and the University of Rhode Island. She is employed at Scott Hesford Landscaping in Johnston.

The future groom is a

graduate of North Kingstown

High School and the University of Rhode Island. He is employed as assistant superintendent at Pawtucket Country Club.

The wedding will take place at Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, with a reception following at Roger Williams Park Casino.
