• Gregory McWilliams, 39, of 6074 Flat River Rd. in Greene, R.I., was charged Sept. 22 with driving without a license/driving with an expired license during a routine traffic stop for speeding on North Main Road, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 2 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Michael P. McGrory, 40, of 181 West Main St. in North Kingstown, was charged Sept. 27 with driving on a suspended or revoked license on East Shore Road, police said. A court date was scheduled for Oct. 9 in Newport District Court, according to police.

• Bertram Lippincott, 51, of 10 Walcott Ave. was charged Sept. 27 with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on Green Lane/Friendship Street, police said. An arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 9 in Newport District Court, according to police.

Drug possession

• A juvenile was charged Sept. 26 with possession of marijuana/ paraphernalia after a caller reported observing the juvenile allegedly smoking in a back yard on Green Lane, according to police. No court date has been scheduled, police said.
