Time to repair sculpture

Every time I pass by the Recreation Center and look at Kay Worden’s generous gift of whimsical sculpture, Up In The Air, I smile. But a second glance reminds me that we have done nothing to repair the piece of broken “rope.”

That the break occurred is unfortunate, but that it has not been repaired does not reflect the appreciation that we all share in owning such a gift. I see it as plain old “don’t-get-around-to-it inertia” of which I have plenty, should anyone need a loan.

But, enough stalling. I’m very eager to get the ball rolling toward a repair. I’m at 423-0545 if anyone has a suggestion as to how to proceed.
