James S. Reynolds, 59
James S. Reynolds of Chalfont, Pa. and formerly of Jamestown, died Sept. 18 at his home after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 59.
He was the husband of Amber (Hamberger) Reynolds.
Born in Yokohama, Japan, on June 20, 1950, he was a son of the late Earl R. and Dorothea (Wood) Reynolds.
Jim was employed as a senior accountant for 20 years with Scott Specialty Gases in Plumsteadville.
He was a 1968 graduate of De La Salle Academy in Newport and a 1972 graduate of College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.
He was a proud and active member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Devlin Council 9980.
He enjoyed reading history, literature and the written word.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Katherine Reynolds of Chalfont, Pa.; his step-mother, Hazel (Graves) Reynolds of Hamilton, Va.; two sisters, Carol Chase and Judy Calabretta, both of Jamestown; two brothers, Bob Reynolds of Newport and Doug Reynolds of Belchertown, Mass. and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends celebrated his funeral Mass on Sept. 26 at St. Jude Church in Chalfont, Pa. Interment took place on Sept. 28 at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Jamestown.
