School program offers fun and learning

The Jamestown Education Foundation and the Jamestown School Department will offer a series of after-school programs for children this fall. Programs are offered for all grade levels and are open to all Jamestown children.

The six to eight-week session begins Monday, Oct. 19. Many programs are offered at no cost, though some may have a nominal materials fee. Fee waivers are available to anyone requiring one.

Programs offered this session include cooking, creative movement, Empty Bowls (fundraiser for food bank), hip hop, newspaper club, photography, comic art explorers, robotics, Spanish, speed stacking, string ensemble, student council, Take the Stage!, writer’s club, yearbook and yoga. An after-school homework group is also offered each day.
