Our family holds this event, and the memory of Joseph, very close to our hearts. More ... My name is David Montoya, and I am running in the upcoming New York City marathon for charity. Recently, as a part of my training, I ran from Beavertail Point to the Mews Tavern, a 20.5-mile run. I would like to thank the Jamestowners who made it to the Mews. More ... I have recently, with the help of my fellow scouts of Troop 1 Jamestown, assembled some kits for members of our community as part of my Eagle Scout project. These kits include many items recommended by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Association) to be in everyone’s homes in the event of an emergency. More ... Now that the dust has settled and the race is over, we, the Jamestown Rotary Club, would like to thank all of our volunteers and residents for another successful event. Thanks to the hard work and support of many volunteers, we received many positive comments from riders about our Town and the management of this event. More ... I thought it extraordinarily telling that the first four individuals to step to the microphone at Thursday’s packed zoning hearing weren’t there to discuss housing or lot sizes, nor the evolution of the charette that has moved through countless public meetings into rules and regulations over two years to assist with affordable housing, acceptable development and maintaining the fab More ... I was pleased to see the new SAMS (Science And Math Scholars) program featured on the front page of the Press. This is a wonderful opportunity for Jamestown students.
