Linda A. Bowmer, 64, of Pinecrest

Drive, Pawtucket,

passed away Oct. 17 at the home of her loving sister in Jamestown.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a beloved daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Conolly) Bowmer.

Linda graduated from Tolman High School. She received a B.S. in physical education and a Master’s of Education in special education from Rhode Island College. She was the R.I. State Badminton Champion in the 1960s.

Linda was a special education teacher at Tolman High School for 35 years before retiring. She was a gift to the many special needs students and a great advocate for them. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church.

She leaves her sister, Barbara Bowmer, and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held yesterday at St. Leo the Great Church in Pawtucket. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery, Warwick.
