Daniel Webster College field hockey player Maeghan Farrelly of Jamestown, a North Kingstown High School graduate, has been honored as rookie of the week by the New England Collegiate Conference.

Farrelly, a freshman midfielder and defender, netted the first two goals of her collegiate career in the second half Oct. 24, guiding the visiting Eagles past NECC rival Elms College, 4-0.
