This was my first year as the recreation soccer coordinator, and it was a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Saturday mornings on the soccer field watching the kids running around in brightly colored shirts. It brought back great memories of my childhood, and I was glad to see everyone having a good time. More ... Thank you to John Murphy for saying what a lot of us are thinking. This fall, the town of Jamestown received a number of complaints about trees and shrubs blocking the sight line of drivers at road intersections. All intersections must have clear visibility on all corners, even if there are no traffic signs or signals. If trees or shrubs block sight lines, drivers are forced to inch into the roadway to see oncoming traffi c, which can be extremely dangerous. More ... Our immediate need was travel funds for sending our coach and some sailors to the Great Oaks national regatta in New Orleans, La. More ...
