Remember homeless pets this holiday season

This holiday season, the Humane Society of Jamestown would like to reach out to our local animals shelters as they struggle to take care of the homeless cats and dogs in our area. Economic conditions have forced many families to surrender their pets because they could no longer afford to take care of them, and the shelters are full. In addition, these same economic conditions have decreased the donations coming into these shelters.

We would like to help by collecting dog and cat food, treats and cat litter to donate to these shelters. The Humane Society will be at the holiday bazaar at the Jamestown School on Dec. 5 and we will be collecting these items that day. Of course, we will have our usual table selling our famous cat treats, as well as other pet-related items, and all proceeds go to our Compassionate Response Fund, which provides help for Jamestown residents to pay for veterinary expenses.

Please remember our homeless pets this holiday season and help us help them. Thank you all for your support this year.
