Thanks from St. Mark Outreach Committee
The members of the St. Mark Outreach Committee would like to thank the Boy Scouts for their hard work collecting donated food items left out by our Jamestown community for the food closet. They collected, sorted and boxed the items. Our food closet is very well stocked thanks to their efforts.
The committee would also like to thank all those who helped make Thanksgiving happy for those less fortunate. Turkey baskets, food items, gift cards and monetary donations were greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Jamestown Rotary, Maggie Grenier, Sue Brayman and the Salvation Army, the Cub Scouts, the Jamestown school bus drivers, the sixth graders at Our Lady of Mercy, East Greenwich, and Mrs. Green’s, Mrs. MacIntyre’s and Ms. Mitchell’s kindergarten classes at the Melrose School. Your generosity was overwhelming.
We would also like to thank the third graders in Mrs. Bennett’s, Mrs. Boothman’s and Mrs. Caswell’s classes in advance for their December collection of toiletries and sundries for the food closet.
A very special thank you goes to Father O’Neill for his guidance and inspiration.
