The Newport Yachting Center’s Sovereign Bank Family Skating Center will kick off its season of winter activities tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 11, at 5:45 p.m.

The event will include a tree lighting and grand opening festivities.

Enjoy complimentary refreshments, listen to carolers and visit with Santa Claus himself. Skating will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Rates are $7 for adults, and $5 for children ages three to 11. Children under three are free with an adult. Skate rentals are available at $5 for adults, $4 for kids and $3 for toddlers.
