Robert Kalander named to R.I. Foundation advisory council
Jamestown resident W. Robert Kalander Jr., has been named to the Rhode Island Foundation’s Professional Advisory Council, a 17-member group that advises the foundation.
Kalander, a senior sales development manager for New York Life, has been in the life insurance business since 1973. He earned an accounting degree from URI, as well as both chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant designations. He is active in the R.I. Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, R.I. Dept. of Business Regulation and the Governor’s Insurance Council. He is also president of the R.I. Estate Planning Council and earlier this year, was the recipient of the R.I. Society of Financial Service Professionals’ Professional of the Year Award.
