URI to offer piano class for kids
The URI Preparatory Music program will offer a new session of its “4 Hands Together” Piano Class Level I.
This eight-week piano class is open to children ages 4 to 7 who come with a parent. Parents will be actively involved in the class and at home, but don’t need any prior knowledge of music. Taught by Christine Müller, the course covers the basic elements of music with songs, rhythms and improvisation on the piano. Materials are included. A piano or keyboard for practice is required.
The class, which begins Feb. 6, will meet on Saturday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
