Thanks to all for pageant help
The Jamestown Christmas Pageant once again beautifully presented the Christmas story in a very meaningful way to the community who gathered Christmas Eve on a snow-covered Shoreby green.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in this annual tradition. You were all wonderful! The list of islanders who made this event a reality seems almost endless. The cast of shepherds, angels, wise men and the Holy Family did a fantastic job.
Many thanks to Jim Traer, Emily Collucci and members of the Jamestown Chorus for providing us with beautiful music and carols.
Special thanks to Bill Munger and his staff at Conanicut Marine Services for their generous assistance with construction of the set and lighting. Thanks to Bob Bailey, Matt Vieira and the Jamestown Public Works Dept. for helping to plow us out.
Thank you to the recreation department for all their help and the use of their P.A. system.
Thanks to Vivi Valentine and Sarah Baumford for kindly bringing down the farm animals. The sheep and baby calf were adorable additions to our cast.
Sincere appreciation also goes to Ray Dunlevy, Jim McLoughlin and Charlotte Richardson for sharing the readings and blessings with us; also, thank you to Mary Heath, Don Richardson, Martha Milot, Suzanne O’Donnell, Collen MacIntyre and Maureen McGuirl for volunteering to help out on such a busy night.
Lastly, I would like to thank the pageant director, Susan Lutes, and the pageant founder, Jeanne Bunkley, for their leadership, support and enthusiasm.
Best wishes for the New Year!
