Driving under the influence

• Anthony Booth, 18, of 16 James Terrace in Middletown, was charged Jan. 24 with first-offense DUI during a traffic stop for alleged erratic operation after an officer observed a strong smell of marijuana and Booth allegedly admitted to smoking it, according to police. He was held at the police station and a re-arraignment will be scheduled in Newport District Court, police said.

• Mark Eldridge, 48, of 4 Wyndcliff Dr. in Saunderstown, was charged Jan. 24 with firstoffense DUI during a traffic stop for alleged erratic operation on North Main Road, according to police. He was held at the police station and a re-arraignment will be scheduled in Newport District Court, police said.

• Jacqueline Morey, 47, of 24 Pearl Ave. in Cranston, was charged Jan. 24 with first-offense DUI after a motor vehicle accident with injuries resulting at Hamilton Avenue and Southwest Avenue, according to police. She was held at the police station and a re-arraignment will be scheduled in Newport District Court, police said.

Outstanding bench warrant

• Danielle Hall, 20, of 4 Mast St., was arrested on a Newport Superior Court bench warrant at her home on Jan. 21, according to police. A review date was scheduled for Jan. 29 in Newport District Court, police said.
