Hale scholarship available at Rocky Hill
Rocky Hill School has announced the establishment of the Hale scholarship, which will be awarded based on academic merit and exemplary character for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Named after former Rocky Hill School Headmaster Nathan Hale, the Hale scholarship awards will be granted to one middle school student and one upper school student who are new applicants for admission to Rocky Hill School for the fall of 2010.
A Hale scholarship will consist of an annual tuition grant of $10,000 for as long as the recipient meets Hale scholarship expectations. The scholarships will be awarded to those applicants who best display the qualities of a Rocky Hill School student, including high academic achievement, a score of 90% or higher on the Secondary Student Admission Test and outstanding character.
To be considered, applicants must complete a Hale scholarship application, along with the standard Rocky Hill School admission application, and submit all required supporting materials by Feb. 15. Applicants may also apply for need-based tuition assistance through the regular financial aid process.
Hale scholarships are granted independent of other financial aid awards.
