Apply now for Newport County Fund grants
The Newport County Fund seeks proposals for programs and projects that benefit communities in Newport County.
Any nonprofit, 501(c) organization – including municipal departments operating in Newport County – is eligible to apply. Grant awards may range from $1,000 to $10,000.
Grants will be awarded in six key sectors: Arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment, health and human services.
In awarding these grants, the NCF seeks opportunities where a relatively small amount of money can be of strategic assistance.
The Newport County Fund was established as a permanent endowment of the Rhode Island Foundation in 2002 to benefit the communities of Newport County – Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth and Tiverton.
The Newport County Fund administers several field of interest funds that further enhance its grantmaking in the local community. These funds include: Jamestown Fund for the Performing Arts; Jamestown Community Fund; Anne and Peter Damon Fund for Newport County; NSG Education Fund in Memory of Ellen S. Murphy; and Dominick J. Lepore Memorial Fund II.
