Applications are now available for the Elizabeth Stone Fund scholarship, a one-time award for expenses associated with freshman year at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning.

The Elizabeth Stone Fund was formed with a bequest from the estate of Jamestowner Elizabeth Stone for the purpose of establishing a scholarship fund for deserving high school graduates.

This year, as many as four scholarships of at least $1,000 may be awarded. To be eligible, applicants must be Jamestown residents who have been accepted at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning.

Applications are available at the offices of the Jamestown schools, in the guidance office at North Kingstown High School or at www. jamestownri.com/school. The deadline to apply is May 15.
