• Sheldon Fine, 65, of 84 Riptide St., was charged Feb. 21 with driving on a suspended or revoked license during a traffic stop on North Main Road, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 26 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Matthew P. Gregoire, 19, of 52 Lawn Ave., was charged Feb. 25 with driving on a suspended license on North Main Road, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for March 5 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Christopher Johnson, 38, of 80 Camp St. in Providence, was charged Feb. 26 with driving without a license/driving on an expired license during a traffic stop on Rt. 138, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for March 12 in Newport District Court, police said.

Receiving stolen goods

Michael Frangione, 62, of 24 Mary St. in Newport, was charged with receiving stolen goods and driving on a suspended or revoked license during a traffic stop on Rt. 138, according to police. A re-arraignment was scheduled for March 5 in Newport District Court, police said.

Bench warrant

Bertram Lippincott, 52, of 10 Walcott Ave., turned himself in at the Jamestown Police station on Feb. 27 after learning that a warrant for an unpaid fine had been issued from Newport District Court, according to police.
