7:30 p.m., Feb. 18, all units turned out at the fire station on Narragansett Avenue for a drill.

8:03 p.m., Feb. 23, Car 1, Engines 1, 2 and 3, Ladder 1 and Rescue 1 went to Bryer Avenue for a chimney fire.

6:14 a.m., Feb. 23, Engine 2 was sent to Post Road in North Kingstown for a standby assignment.

7:30 p.m., Feb. 25, all units turned out at the fire station on Narragansett Avenue for a drill.

8:18 a.m., Feb. 26, Car 1 and Special Services 1 were dispatched to Clinton Avenue for a water evacuation.

4:54 p.m., Feb. 27, Engines 1, 2 and 3, Ladder 1 and Rescue 1 were sent to Conanicus Avenue for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

3:50 p.m., Feb. 28, Cars 1 and 2, and Engines 2 and 3, went to Gondola Avenue for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

6:11 p.m., March 2, Cars 1 and 2, Engine 3 and Rescue 1 were dispatched to Intrepid Lane for a carbon monoxide detector activation.

2:42 p.m., March 4, Cars 1 and 3, Engine 3 and Rescue 1 went to Frigate Street for a chemical hazard.

7:30 p.m., March 4, all units turned out at the fire station on Narragansett Avenue for a drill.

This week, JEMS had 14 calls. Two calls resulted in refusal of transport, two were for transport from hospital to home, and 10 were transported to Newport Hospital. Medical calls included rapid heartbeat, chest pain, shortness of breath, depression, vomiting, low blood sugar and loss of consciousness. Trauma calls were for a dog bite, injuries from falls and possible electrocution.
