‘Collaboration ‘10’ reflects town spirit
The Jamestown Arts Center would like to thank our community for making “Collaboration ‘10’ such a successful event. With the help of artists of all ages, we created an art installation of over 100 12-inch squares of art covering the walls at the Jamestown Gallery in East Ferry. It is a beautiful mosaic that reflects the creative spirit of our island.
This annual “collaboration show” marks the third year of JAC’s endeavor to create an arts center for our whole community. In three short years, JAC has grown from a simple concept to a non-profit organization that owns a wonderful, centrally located property, and is in the midst of a capital campaign for full ownership and renovation. We are so grateful for the generous donations from both individuals and foundations, and we look forward to inspiring your sustaining support through continued creative programming and events.
We would like to thank everyone who worked hard with us to make “Collaboration ‘10” a great event: Pat Tuff, the Jamestown Gallery, the Conanicut Island Art Association, all the artists members who submitted their beautiful squares, everyone who purchased art, and our gallery volunteers – Fran Gorman, Dori Hirsch, Karen Imbriale, Daniel Forester, Joan Bishop, Lisa Randall and Jen Black!
