Library book groups announce spring selections
The book discussion groups at the Jamestown Philomenian Library have announced their selections for the coming months:
• “Burning Bright” by Tracy Chevalier will be discussed Monday, April 19, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m.
• “The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment That Transformed Their Lives” by Cheryl Jarvis will be discussed Monday, May 17, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, May 18, at 1 p.m.
• “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett will be discussed Monday, June 21, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15, at 1 p.m.
• “Brooklyn” by Colm Toibin will be discussed Monday, July 19, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, July 20, at 1 p.m.
There will be a special meeting for “The Reading Across Rhode Island” book selection, “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society,” on Tuesday, May 25, at 1 p.m.
Meetings are ordinarily held on the third week of the month. The evening group meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m.; the afternoon group meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.
