New in town

A new osprey pair has occupied the Neale Farm nest pole at the east end of Marsh Meadows. This couple may have been “playing house” – no eggs or young – last year on the same nest pole, but now they seem to be more actively building the nest, which can be seen from the newer observation platform in the Conanicut Island Sanctuary. This pair makes three confirmed nesting pairs on the island this year. Photo courtesy of Chris Powell A new osprey pair has occupied the Neale Farm nest pole at the east end of Marsh Meadows.
