Golf course to offer program for kids

The Jamestown Education Foundation will once again coordinate with the Jamestown Golf Course to offer a five-week golf program on Tuesdays, from May 4 through June 1, with an additional two weeks as rain make-up dates, if needed.

Chuck Connors will be on hand to supervise, teach golf etiquette and give basic golf advice. Parents or guardians will be responsible for transporting their child to the golf course by 3 p.m. Tee-offs will begin at 3 p.m., with foursomes going off every 10 minutes, up to a maximum of 20 children who have played on a course before.

Pick-up will be after 5 p.m., depending on when the child teed off.

Golfers should provide their own clubs, but a limited number of rentals are available at the golf course. The cost of the five sessions is $60 per child, and financial assistance is available.

Call Anne Livingston at 423- 0627 with any questions.
