DUI charges

Christopher Synnott, 45, of 50 Ocean View in Middletown, was charged April 29 with firstoffense DUI on Rt. 138 after a caller reported an erratic operator, according to police. He was held at the police station and an arraignment was scheduled for May 7 in Newport District Court, police said.

Domestic vandalism

Keith Godena, 46, of 38 Garboard St. was charged May 1 with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property after numerous calls reporting a domestic argument in progress on Champlin Way, according to police. He was held at the police station and a re-arraignment was scheduled for May 7 in Newport District Court, police said.

Possession of marijuana

Nathaniel Putier, 19, of 17 Reardon Dr. in Middletown, was charged April 30 with firstoffense possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Rt. 138, according to police. He was held at the police station and a rearraignment was scheduled for May 7 in Newport District Court, police said.

Bench warrant

Anthony Jace Scalora, 21, of 14 Baldwin Ct., was picked up April 27 on a bench warrant issued from Fourth District Court, according to police. He was held at the police station and an arraignment was scheduled for April 27 in Newport District Court, police said.

Driving without a license

• Cameron Turner, 24, of 538B Slocum Rd. in Saunderstown, was charged April 17 with driving on a suspended or revoked license during a traffic stop on North Main Road, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for April 23 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Heather Bessette, 20, of 755 Newport Ave., Flr. 2, in Pawtucket, was charged April 18 with driving on a suspended or revoked license during a traffic stop on Rt. 138, according to police. An arraignment was scheduled for June 4 in Newport District Court, police said.
