Boy Scouts will serve pasta supper this Saturday

Bring your appetite to the Boy Scout pasta supper this Saturday, May 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Church.

The event is a fundraiser for the local scout troop to help purchase necessary camping and canoeing equipment, in addition to deferring costs for camping outings and events.

Tickets purchased in advance from a scout are $10 for adults and $5 for children 13 years and younger. Fifty percent of each scout’s ticket sales goes into his own personal camping account.

Tickets at the door are $12 for adults.

The scouts will serve penne pasta, compliments of McQuade’s Market, with sauce and meatballs, salad and fresh bread. Beverages will be coffee and Rhody Fresh Milk, compliments of Dutra Farm.

Home-made desserts will be served outside.

The troop will also hold a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and individuals. The highlight of the auction items is an afternoon cruise with wine and crackers aboard the Swan 45 sailboat “Devocean.”
