Tara Clark, 44
away on May 3, 2010. She was the wife of David Clark, and the daughter of Gerald and Eleanor Kerr of Jamestown.
Born in Providence, she was a graduate of The Prout School and Northeastern University. She studied abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and earned a Master’s degree from the University of Virginia. She was also a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.
Until her illness, she was employed in the cardiovascular operating room at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. An outdoor lover, she was an avid tri-athlete, competing in many competitions.
While at Northeastern University, she completed a three-month open boat Outward Bound course starting in Maine and ending in the Florida Keys.
Her other love was figure skating, which she also coached.
Besides her husband and parents, she leaves a brother, Jeffrey Kerr, of Westerly; a sister-in-law, Judy Kerr; and nephews, Michael and Patrick, all of Saunderstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place this Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church in Jamestown. Burial will follow in St. Mark cemetery.
