Gilbert Stuart Museum seeks junior docents

The Gilbert Stuart Museum is looking for young people, ages 9 to 18, to volunteer as docents for the museum’s daily tour program.

Tours are conducted at the museum several times each day, and include showing and explaining the features of the birthplace/grist mill where the artist was born, and the snuff mill where corn was ground beginning in 1684.

Orientation and individualized training is offered, and volunteer docents are asked to commit at least three hours per month during the summer and until the museum closes in October.

Adult volunteers interested in serving as docents are also invited to contact the museum.

Contact Margaret O’Connor at 294-3001 or visit www.gilbertstuartmuseum. org for more information.
