The 34th annual Save the Bay swim will be held Saturday, July 17.

Participants begin their journey at the Naval base in Newport and swim or kayak the 1.7 miles across Narragansett Bay to finish in Jamestown.

The event draws approximately 1,500 swimmers, kayakers, volunteers and spectators each year.
