Enter your art in ‘Icons of Jamestown’

The Conanicut Island Art Association has announced its next Town Hall show, “Icons of Jamestown.” The show will open June 24 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room, and will be on display through Sept. 9.

The drop-off date is today, June 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. Works that were part of the “Animals, Animals, Animals” show may also be picked up at this time.

All media will be accepted, including 3D work for the new glass display cabinets. Up to three pieces may be entered, and non-members are welcome.

No saw tooth hangers are allowed; all work must be properly framed, wired and ready to hang. Maximum size is 48 inches by 48 inches, and maximum weight is 20 pounds. For 3D work, no entry should be wider than 12 inches or taller than 18 inches.

Fee for members for the first entry is $10 and $5 for each additional entry. Non-member fees are $15 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry.

This is a juried show, and first, second and third prizes will be awarded.

All are invited to attend the opening reception.
