‘Plein air’ event for artists at Beavertail
The Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association and the Conanicut Island Art Association invite artists to participate in a “plein air” event at Beavertail Point in Jamestown.
During a three-day period – June 24, 25 and 26, from dawn to dusk – participating artists will create one wet and unframed work to be displayed at the lighthouse for an auction sale. The first 100 works submitted will be hung and sold at a public silent auction on Sunday, June 27, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Artists are asked to donate at least 50 percent of the selling price of each work.
All painted media will be accepted; the maximum size is 16 x 20.
The event is open to all artists 18 or older. BLMA and CIAA reserve the right to reject work deemed unsuitable. Art hung and sold at the auction must be created during the event.
The deadline to enter is Thursday, June 17. Call 423-1460 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to register.
