Tribal storyteller at library tonight
The Jamestown Philomenian Library invites young readers 10 and up to a performance by Thawn Harris, Narragansett Tribal Nation storyteller, tonight, Thursday, June 24, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Harris shares his Narragansett culture through traditional song, dance and legends. Following in the traditions of his ancestors, he plays the cedar flute and handdrum. He is a social dancer and singer, as well as a former world champion of the Eastern War Dance.
The program is free and open to the public.
