Ronald Jacobson, Badge #10 of the Jamestown Police Dept., rendered assistance to my wife and me upon our return to Jamestown to spend our 15th summer here.

I write to the citizens to express my appreciation to you for maintaining a police department with such dedicated police officers as Officer Jacobson. He responded to our needs with utmost professionalism and thoroughness.

My wife and I are both in our eighties and our need was great. We were lucky to have Officer Jacobson at the ready.

We salute all the public servants on this island, as I am sure all of the islanders do.
