Church to hold 79th annual summer fair

St. Matthew’s Church will hold its 79th summer fair this Saturday, July 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the church grounds at 87 Narragansett Ave. The event will be held rain or shine.

The sale will feature the fair’s famous lobster rolls, the Beech Tree Grille serving lemonade, homemade stuffies, hot dogs, hamburgers and a tropical tiki punch stand. A large selection of home baked goods will also be sold.

There will be children’s games, a large selection of toys and books, household furniture, electronics, sporting goods, jewelry and attic treasures for all tastes and budgets. The event will also include a silent auction, featuring a variety of highend items and experiences. Silent auction bidding will end at noon; winners need not be present and can be notified by telephone.

Proceeds from this annual event benefit the operation and outreach ministries of the Parish.

St. Matthew’s popular thrift shop will also be open during the fair.
