NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE JAMESTOWN ZONING BOARD OF REVIEW WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING JULY 27, 2010, AT THE JAMESTOWN TOWN HALL 93 NARRAGANSETT AVENUE, JAMESTOWN, RHODE ISLAND AT 7:00 P.M. UPON THE FOLLOWING:
Application of 79 North Road Property Inc., whose property is located at 79 North Road, and further identified as Tax Assessor’s Plat 8, Lot 97, for a special use permit from Article 3, Section 3-1 Misc. Retail #7 “Fuel Oil, Bottled Gas etc. including storage” to change the use of the property (formerly Ocean State Scuba) to an oil company (D.B.A. Island Energy) with mixed use, two apartments, office space, storage space and retail. Said property is located in a CL zone and contains 32,215 sq. ft.
Application of Walter W. Wetmore, whose property is located at Umiak Ave. and Dory St., and further identified as Tax Assessor’s Plat 3, Lot 103, for a special use permit as required by Jamestown Ordinance 82-314C (High ground water table and impervious overlay district) to allow the installation of a replacement onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) and the construction of a single-family, 3 bedroom house (to replace existing dwelling and garage) on the site as approved under development plan review by the Jamestown Planning Commission. Said property is located in a R40 zone and contains 23,425 sq. ft.
