The event’s theme will be “The Greatest Generation Marches On” and will commemorate the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII.
The tribute is open to all; R.I. WWII veterans, their family members and all those who wish to attend to honor family members and friends who served in WWII and R.I. military are encouraged to attend.
Reservations must be made by Aug. 1; there is no cost for WWII veterans. The cost for all others is $20.
Uniforms are optional, but all WWII veterans are encouraged to wear their original uniform or their veterans’ organization regalia. Others may wear a uniform of their choice; otherwise, jacket and tie for men and appropriate dress for women.

Historic Militia and a memorial to those who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, followed by a luncheon with entertainment by the Liberty Belles, a USO group from New York City.
There will also be a film presenting recollections of WWII service highlighting several Rhode Islanders and each WWII veteran in attendance will receive a WWII Victory Commemorative Medal.
