July 11, Engines 1 and 3, and Cars 1, 3 and 4 were dispatched to Narragansett Avenue for a dumpster fire.

July 15, Cars 2 and 4, and Engines 3 and 1, went to Route 138 West for a vehicle rollover.

July 16, Engines 1 and 3, and Rescue 1 were sent to the Newport Bridge toll plaza for an auto accident.

5:45 a.m., July 17, Marine 1 and Rescue 1 were dispatched to Narragansett Bay to stand by for the Save the Bay swim.

6:35 a.m., July 17, Marine 1 went to the Newport Bridge to answer a bridge jumper call and transferred the jumper to Newport rescue at Perotti Park.

3:21 p.m., July 17, Engine 1 was dispatched to North Main Road and the ramp to Route 138 West for a cigarette tossed into mulch.

2:21 p.m., July 17, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Special Services 1 and Marine 1 were sent to Ft. Wetherill for a cliff rescue.

This week, JEMS had 16 calls, resulting in four refusals, one lift assist, one standby for Save The Bay Swim, nine transports to Newport Hospital and one transport to South County Hospital. Calls included difficulty breathing, injuries due to falls, pain and not feeling well.
