Free concert at East Ferry this Sunday
Musician Amy Gallantin will make her Jamestown concert debut this Sunday, Aug. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at East Ferry Memorial Square.
Gallantin’s performing background had been as a solo artist out west; in 1992, she met some Connecticut musicians while wintering in New England. With that Connecticut connection came the opportunity to tour as a working unit, so Gallantin packed her guitar and moved east in the fall of 1993 to pursue her music. Four albums later – including a live album and a project recorded in Nashville with producer Rich Adler – Gallantin and her band Stillwater’s have taken the stage at some of the most prestigious venues in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Bring blankets or chairs to enjoy this free concert. Admission is sponsored by Jamestown Boat Yard and the Chemical Company. In case of rain, the show will go on at the recreation center.
