Croft re-elected to IBTTA board

Earl J. “Buddy” Croft III of Cranston, executive director of the R.I. Turnpike and Bridge Authority, was re-elected to serve on the board of the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association for a term ending Dec. 31, 2013.

IBTTA is a worldwide alliance of toll operators and associated industries, which provides a forum for sharing knowledge and ideas to promote and enhance toll-financed transportation services.

Croft, who was named to the IBTTA’s board in 2009, has served on its government affairs committee, finance committee, audit committee and the strategic planning task force.

“Buddy has earned the respect of his peers across the nation and is deserving of this honor,” said David Darlington, chairperson of RITBA. “His knowledge about the public transportation sector makes him a valuable asset to this international board.”

Commenting on his re-election, Croft said, “My serving as a board member at IBTTA has given Rhode Island a voice at the table as our state and nation continue to discuss transportation issues that will have a profound impact on Rhode Islanders.”
