Island artist featured in library display
A new exhibit of works by Jamestown artist Wendy Crooks is now on display at the Jamestown Philomenian Library. The display includes works in oil, acrylic, pastel and graphite.
Crooks is a portrait artist whose intent is to bring out the personality of her subjects. She creates portraits of flowers and says that each flower has its own personality to capture.
Her work is found in shows and galleries throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts, where it has won many prizes and awards.
