Thanks for talent show success

On behalf of the Jamestown Community Chorus, I am writing to thank everyone who had a part in making our 21st annual talent show fundraiser, “Seaside Rendezvous,” such a great success.

Our warm and hearty thanks go to everyone who performed for providing such a fine line-up of entertainment; to all who attended the show and filled the house for us; to everyone who bought raffle tickets, kazoos, and refreshments before and during the show; to McQuade’s Marketplace for the opportunity to sell raffle tickets at their door; to all the businesses and locations who displayed our flyers and to the recreation center staff. Those who make this event possible are too numerous to name here and we are most appreciative of everyone who contributed time and talent to the endeavor.

Special thanks to the Jamestown Press for keeping the community informed about the event as it took shape, and to the Jamestown Record for making video of the show available for posterity.

Thank you as well to all in the audience who kazooed with us during our firstever kazoo-a-long!

We look forward now to the start of rehearsals on Monday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave. Registration opens at 6:30 that evening. If you enjoy singing, join us! There are no auditions. Our concert dates are Dec. 11 and 12.

Thank you, Jamestown!
