Navy choristers seek new voices

The Newport Navy Choristers are currently seeking new voices to sing with them for the upcoming 2010-2011 musical season.

New voices in all ranges are welcome.

The Navy Choristers are a mixed choral group open to all members of the Newport Navy community, including active duty, reserve and retired military, their spouses and family members 16 and older. All Dept. of Defense civilian employees and their dependents are also welcome to join.

There are no auditions for the main chorus; rehearsals will start on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Chapel of Hope at the NAVSTA Newport at 7 p.m. and will meet every Tuesday thereafter. Singers are asked to arrive a little early for the first rehearsal to pick up music and pay dues.

Rehearsals start promptly at 7 p.m. all other Tuesday nights and end at 9:30 p.m.

Call Pat McGue, chairman, at 849-1135 or Joann Loewenthal, director, at 849-4823 for more information.
