Hospital to offer free prostate cancer screening

South County Hospital will offer a free prostate cancer screening for men on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The clinic will be conducted by Board-certified physicians from Urology Associates. The exam is private, quick and convenient.

All men age 50 and older are encouraged to take advantage of this important preventive health measure. There is no co-pay and no appointment is necessary.

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death for men in the U.S. and generally has no early symptoms so screening is vitally important.

Registration is not necessary; walk-ins are welcome. Call 782-8000 for more information.
